News and Announcements
I want to start by saying Congrats to the 8u, 10u, and 14u for making it to the playoffs.
On behalf of the executive board and myself we would like to take time and thank you all for participating in our 2018 football season. Thank you for your hard work and dedication and helping to make this season a success. I personally would like to thank you all for trusting me and the rest of the coaches with your children and believing in us to do what’s best for your child. I don’t do this for any recognition my sole purpose is to give the boys life lesson through the game of football that will mold them into becoming great young men. What an honor and a blessing it is to use my voice to teach and guide the youth through discipline structure and mental toughness to be successful young men in this world in the near future!! As long as I live I will continue to pay it forward. And to my cheerleading parents thank you for allowing the girls to be apart the Elmont Cardinals Family and putting the countless ours to learn new cheers and steps. The work you girls put in didn’t go unnoticed so again I thank you. We look forward to bigger and better things for the 2019 season. Year 1 was good but the best is yet to come.
Greetings Cardinal family,
I wanted to first thank everyone for their patience as we completed our first picture day. I know that some of you were concerned about the lighting and temperature outside, but rest assured it was not our original plan to hold Picture Day so late in the season.
Our original date was scheduled for a Saturday morning in September where the weather would have been much warmer, however the AAU game schedule changed, and we had to give up that Saturday date. Without having any available dates that would work for both Mini Majors and The Elmont Cardinals, we opted for an October date which then was rained on – hence leading us to this evening.
We tried to secure the indoor facility at the Sump but at the last minute the town canceled access to the community room due to staffing issues. We did try in advance not to subject the kids and parents to the cold temperature this evening but in the end we had no choice in order to give everyone the opportunity to have their pictures taken before the season ended.
We look forward to seeing all the amazing pictures taken.
Thank you also to the coaches and parents for their patience & assistance in organizing the children this evening.
We would like to say Thank You to Simone Robinson-Ross (Exec Event Coordinator) for organizing our Picture Day.
Have a wonderful night.
